Song Origin: Honey is an analogy for music and how it heals me. I chose to exemplify this relationship in the album's first music video by being drenched, swimming, and consumed by it. Music is a therapy that teaches me to be with and accept the hardness of being human and in turn allows me to share my sounds with the world. This is one of the few songs I wrote on piano when I had tendonitis and couldn’t play the guitar. It was a particularly low time for me and going and playing the piano in the practice rooms at Warren Wilson College was my sanctuary of solace that I fled to often (North Carolina, U.S.A., 2016).
