Song Origin: I wrote ‘Spin Me’ because I wanted to take a stab at making a danceable song. I used infatuation (induced by my new relationship) and explored feelings and tones within it. The album version is very different to the first demos. We messed around with different takes, from a trip-hop version to a kind of neo soul version, but in the end, we decided to subvert the sweetness of the lyrics with a kind of sexy/creepy electronic instrumental (Derry, NI, U.K., 2017).
